Should I register my Organization as personal or as a project/entity?

Last updated on Jan 12, 2026

When creating an organization, you can choose between a personal account or a project/entity. If you are managing your own freelance work, personal finances, or simply want to use the platform for yourself, selecting a personal organization is the best fit. This option is designed for individuals who do not need to add other members or manage business-specific details.

If you want to collaborate with others, manage a team, or keep business and project information separate from your personal account, you can create an organization as a project or entity. This does not mean your organization must be officially registered as a business or company. The project/entity option simply unlocks features in the portal that make it easier to work together, manage contacts, handle invoicing, and assign roles to other members.

You are free to choose the option that best matches how you want to use the platform. If your needs change, you can always create additional organizations for new projects, teams, or business activities. Both options are free of charge.

Note: Once you choose whether your organization is personal or a project/entity during creation, this setting cannot be changed later. This is because the platform uses this choice to determine which features and options are available to your organization from the start. If you need a different setup in the future, you can always create a new organization with the desired type and move your activities or members there as needed.
